RTA School Librarians Conferences
I gave a presentation on the future of school libraries to two conferences in Reading and Leeds. This was my first attempt to put together some thoughts about where we might be going and how we can use Web 2.0 in our work. It took a lot of thinking and research (using the blogs listed on this site), to create the presentation. It will be interesting to see what kind of feedback I might get.

What kind of reception did you get to your presentation? I would be most interested in what you said…do you have any notes or slides you would be willing to send me? You are doing such great things for the profession Anne! You are pushing the right kind of agenda and moving the profession forward…keep up the good work!
I was not really sure what the feedback was as RTA have not yet given me any details. Afterwards, some people did come up and express positive ideas about the issues that I covered. One person, as I had the slot after lunch, did appear to doze off! I hope that I was not that boring.
I will send you the URL of the presentation. It was difficult to pitch it right as I knew that I was talking to a very mixed group in terms of the age profile, experience levels etc. So some information was very basic, some was looking at wider issues.
