Career History (in reverse order)

September 2008 Moved to new post as Librarian at The Dixie Grammar School, Market Bosworth, Leicestershire. I am the first Chartered Librarian to be employed at the school and I have the remit of supporting the development of a new re-furbished library.

January 2007 Promoted to new post of Learning Resources and Information Services Manager for Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College. The Federation post ended at the end of December 2006. This involved assisting in the development of the website, VLE, portal, to support information management across the college.

July 2005 Promoted to new post of Federation Learning and Information Resources Team Leader, for the Bedworth Federation of schools. This involves managing and developing the LRCs at Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College and at Ash Green School, Coventry, from August 2005 until December 2006.

May 2005 Awarded SLA School Librarian of the Year 2005.

March 2005 SLA School Librarian of the Year Award 2005 Honour Roll.

June 1999 to July 2005 Learning Resources Centre Manager, Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College, Bedworth, Nuneaton, Warwickshire. An 11-18 comprehensive school with about 1500 students, one of the largest in Warwickshire.

June 1997 to June 1999 School Librarian, The Margaret Glen-Bott Secondary School, Wollaton Park, Nottingham. An 11-16 inner-city mixed comprehensive school with about 500 pupils.

June 1990 to June 1997 During this period I was not in paid employment but bringing up my two children.

March 1984 to June 1990 School Librarian, Carlton Le Willows School, Gedling, Nottingham. A suburban 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with about 1500 pupils.

August 1982 to March 1984 School Librarian, The Manning School, Aspley, Nottingham. An inner city 11-16 girls comprehensive school with about 600 pupils.

September 1981 to August 1982 Assistant Librarian, Nottinghamshire Education Library Service, Mansfield Library.
